Digging new wells of revival!
A prophetic seer, Josh Middleton, from Body of Christ Church in Ames was at the event. He gave Loren this report after the event: “I was on my knees praying with everyone else when I felt the nudge of the Spirit asking me to look up. I saw a beam of light coming from every person there. The beams merged together in the center of the room into a pillar of light / fire that went up through the roof of the barn into a portal into heaven. It was so bright, I couldn’t look at it. I had to look away. Moments later I sensed that I should look again. In place of the light a metal shaft 8-10 feet in diameter came down that same portal into the barn. It was covered with wheels that had claw like structures attached to it.” Then he asked with wide eyes, ‘\”What was that?” Neither one of us knew what he saw so Loren suggested Josh write down what he saw. We both decided to pray and ask God to tell us what He was doing in all of this.
We met on Wednesday the 17th, and He provided the following drawings to describe what he saw. We still did not know what we were looking at until I shared it with Dr. Greg Crawford, an Apostolic leader that travels the world out of The Base in Des Moines. He took one look at it and said, “I put these together. Loren, You don’t know this about me: I graduated as a mechanical engineer. This is a well drilling bit. We used these to drill community wells in Nigeria. I believe that God has dug a new Well of Revival over the Heartland! WOW &PTL!
A few days later Loren & Colleen were in Iowa City at breakfast with Dave and Abby Clark when Loren received a call from a prophetic woman from Heartland church in Ankeny named Dalene Norgaard. She did not attend the September 13 event but said that she had a dream and was told to share it with me. She was all excited … and reported: “ In my dream, I saw a well drilling rig come down from heaven. It landed on the football field at the University of Iowa. After the bit went into the earth, rivers of ‘living water’ sprung forth into the air mixed with oil, and landed on every city in eastern Iowa” Thank you Father!
Let your glory fall on this place…let it roll forth from here to the nations!
Colleen and Loren proceeded to the meeting house in Cane Ridge, KY. The arrived at 8:30 am just 30 minutes before a service that is held once a year. Pastor Darnaby Kerns invited us to join His congregation for the service and potluck that followed. In his message, he revisited the revival that occurred there in 1801 and touched on the history of revival since, referenced what is happening in the US after Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom, and then activated us to step into that as we move into our neighborhoods and go about our business.
The Luke 4 story of the woman at the well indicates that the rivers of living water that we can drink from provides a transformational encounter with Jesus. We get to take it into our community and share the story of our encounter with those that listen, and all who believe can experience that same encounter. That is revival: may it transform us, our community, our region, and the world!
